Spinach Puffs with Honey-Mustard Sauce

Recipe: This is a favorite appetizer you might enjoy bringing to a holiday meal.  

Spinach Puffs with Honey-Mustard Sauce 

2–10-ounce packages of frozen chopped spinach 

2 cups crushed herb-seasoned stuffing mix 

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese 

1/4 tsp of nutmeg  

6 eggs, beaten 

3/4 cup softened butter 


  1. Thaw spinach, drain, and squeeze excess water 
  1. Combine spinach with remaining ingredients 
  1. Shape into 65 balls and refrigerate for 1+ hours (can make ahead) 
  1. Bake 10-15 min at 350 degrees 
  1. Serve with mustard sauce 

Mustard Sauce 

1/2 cup dry mustard 

1/2 cup white vinegar 

1/2 cup honey 

2 egg yolks 

  1. Combine mustard and vinegar in a bowl, and let stand overnight at room temperature 
  1. Combine mustard mixture with honey and stirred egg yolk in a saucepan. 
  1. Simmer until thickened, stirring occasionally 
  1. Cool to room temp before serving
