Starting Off Right
A new year is dawning in just a few weeks. No matter what 2015 held for you, 2016 offers a fresh slate of new opportunities. I believe that the desire to be healthier in each coming year is universal. We ALL have aspirations to eat healthier and exercise more consistently, or perhaps even get more rest…breathe a sigh of relief.
Well, I believe that the way you start something can set the tone for the finish. So, if better health or more health-related activities are on your goal list for 2016, I encourage you to consider bringing the New Year in with those goals in mind; and the perfect outlet is the Tanglewood Running of the Lights.
Every year, hundreds of adventurous people of all ages come together to ring in the New Year with a crisp 1.75mile walk/jog under the infamous holiday lights. For many it has become a tradition for friends and family alike.
Participants can register online until December 30th at 6pm. For more information go to www.runningofthelights.com. Canned food donations for Second Harvest Food Bank are encouraged.
So, if you are still trying to decide how to ring in the New Year, consider the Running of the Lights. It is a great way to start the New Year off right!
