Christie’s clients describe her as outgoing and enthusiastic. She invests herself in your success, acting as your mentor and guide on your journey to better health through smarter nutrition. Never judgmental, Christie, RD, “walks the walk”: She knows what it takes to look and feel great because she does it herself. In her own daily life, Christie finds ways to make healthy living fun and easy. Recently, Christie challenged employees of one of her corporate clients to beat the number of steps she walked in one day at Disney World: 17,000 steps!

Before starting her own venture, Christie worked for 12 years as Wellness Coordinator at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She also has served as the nutrition consultant for the Kernersville Family YMCA, New Bridge Bank, DH Griffin, Bank of Oak Ridge, and Wake Forest University.

Fox 8 News and The Winston-Salem Journal have turned to Christie for her expertise on wellness and nutrition topics, and she is a regular volunteer with the American Heart Association.

Christie, RD, was selected as the expert dietitian for the BBC/Discovery Health documentary “The Truth About Food,” which originally aired in 2007 and is still a frequently aired series. The Winston-Salem Journal routinely turns to Christie for her expertise on wellness and nutrition topics.

Instead, she eats real food, in moderation. As Christie puts it, “I believe it’s essential to practice what I preach. I see it as the only way to show people they can trust me as an expert.”

Under Christie’s influence, Christie Hunter and fmilyher husband and daughters have learned to make smart choices and eat in moderation. In fact, the entire family assists with meal planning. Christie’s two daughters know that if they want to have hot dogs or chicken nuggets, they will have to balance it with something beneficial like fruits or veggies!

She doesn’t live at the gym, but when she’s not working with clients, she enjoys body pump classes, elliptical, and any kind of cardio…including exercising with her husband and daughters. Everyone in the Hunter family enjoys eating healthy and being physically active!
