As the summer heat sets in, we are always looking for ways to cool off. Instead of heading straight for the ice cream section of the grocery store, go for the frozen fruit section. One of my favorites this year is frozen mango! Unlike ice cream, it is cholesterol free and contains no saturated fat. Mango is also high in vitamin A and is a good source of vitamin C.
You can find the mango at most of your local grocery stores in the freezer section. Put it in your ice cream bowl and let it thaw for about 5-10 minutes and then enjoy! The mango will be cold and refreshing and a healthy treat that will also get in a serving of fruit. Don’t forget to add it to your next shopping list!
